Just updating the numbers. Unfortunately, Florida won today against Tampa Bay, which makes things a bit more difficult, and those two teams will play each other another two times before the end of the season. The last two games of the season for those teams, in fact, which should make the end of the season particularly exciting from our perspective.
Carolina has also lost, so currently Toronto is within four points of three other teams. One can only hope that margin is a little slimmer by Tuesday night.
Addendum: Congratulations to the Phoenix Coyotes for taking the lead in the Southeast Division away from the San Jose Sharks for at least a couple hours. Judging by how the game against the Oilers is going, it looks like the Coyotes will hold onto this lead for a little while.
